"What is your 'WHY'?

The Natalie Norton 'EnVision' workshop has come and gone, and I can honestly tell you I am SO BUMMED it's over. I was literally looking at my watch the entire day praying for time to go slower...

I learned so much, and left feeling so inspired, and not just even with Photography. She inspired me to be a better person, and mom.

I took a ton of notes, and I wanted to share some of the awesome tips she gave us...

-What is your "why"?...why am I doing this? My "why" drives me.

-It's all about SYSTEMS

-Gear is important, but not essential

-DO WHATEVER THE HECK YOU WANT!

-Will this photograph look good 10 years from now?

-Learn to say "NO"

-Stop waiting to LIVE a passion filled life - LIVE NOW

and one of my favorite points:

-Real emotion in a photograph will TRUMP a technically perfect picture EVERY TIME.

After the lecture part of the workshop, we were able to watch Natalie in action shooting a married couple. We were able to get in there, and take some pictures too. Here are my two best shots from that shoot. (ps- Doesn't this guy have AMAZING hair?)

100 Strangers in 100 (odd) Days

This is Jeff. He's pretty cute...*ahem*

On my walk with the boys this morning, I passed him while he was working on one of the houses going up near where my home. He told me this was his "construction pose".

Thank-you Jeff for a fantastic #4.

Envision

I went to Natalie Norton's Envision workshop in Calgary on friday. It was A.MAZ.ING.

I left feeling SO inspired, SO excited, and SO SO SO pumped to get this career started.
I will write a longer post about what I learned in a couple of days...mostly because I wrote SO MANY notes, I need to look through them all.

In the meantime, here is a couple pics of the KICK ASS Natalie at work.

100 Strangers in 100 Days

Day Three.

This is Audrey. I met her outside the liquor store near my house. I asked Audrey if she wanted to smile for the picture, and she told me "No. I don't smile"...it's too bad, I'll bet she has a great one.
